Case study: Luxe en-suite with marble-effect tiles and brushed brass brassware

Senior Designer Faye from Ripples Bournemouth achieved her client’s vision of a practical room with luxe fixtures and fittings.
The brief
Faye’s client wanted to transform their existing en-suite into a modern shower room with plenty of luxurious fixtures and fittings. With a cool and contemporary aesthetic in mind, Faye got to work on a design which championed texture, tone and lighting.
The layout
The layout was designed with a focus on both functionality and an open, airy feel. The spacious walk-in shower, enclosed with a sleek glass panel, anchors the room, providing a clear division without sacrificing the sense of openness. The vanity area, with its floating marble countertop and ample storage, is positioned for convenience, ensuring that everything is within easy reach. The rimless WC was also positioned on the wall, to maximise the feeling of space within the room and for ease of cleaning.

Product selection
Each product in this en-suite was carefully selected to enhance the sense of luxury. The overhead rain shower, with its brushed brass finish, transforms everyday showers into a spa-like experience whilst the statement basin positioned on a sleek marble vanity, also offers a luxe look. An LED mirror cabinet was built into the wall, providing handy storage space whilst retaining a sleek minimalist look.
Colours and textures
The colour palette was also selected to evoke a sense of timeless elegance. The rich, dark tones of the marble-effect tiles are perfectly balanced by the lighter wooden elements, creating a visually striking contrast. The crisp white of the basin and vanity adds a fresh, clean element, while the brushed brass fixtures introduce a touch of understated opulence.
The dark marble-effect wall tiles offer a dramatic backdrop with sleek gold veining and a high-shine finish. In contrast, the wooden-effect tiles bring an organic element to the room, softening the boldness of the marble and creating a balance to the scheme.
